Join the acclaimed historian and presenter on this poignant river cruise from Paris to the northern beaches of France 75 year after the Allied landings

After our previous D-Day trip with Dan Snow sold out, we are delighted to announce a new opportunity to join Dan on a fascinating itinerary to mark the 75th anniversary of Allied troops landing on the beaches of northern France. You will discover incredible stories of heroism among those involved on D-Day in June 1944.

Operation Neptune, as the landings were officially known, initiated one of the most telling phases of the Second World War. As you visit the shores and sites encountered by troops all those years ago, you will hear a clear-eyed historical view of the context behind the manoeuvres from the acclaimed historian and presenter.

D-Day was not only the largest seaborne invasion in history but also one of the most extraordinary examples of raw human courage and solidarity in the face of adversity. I very much look forward to welcoming and meeting you on this exclusive and utterly memorable trip
Dan Snow

From Paris, you will sail through the Norman countryside, rich in chateaux, gastronomy and gardens. You will enjoy a fascinating excursion to Château de Martainville, where you will discover in more than 500 years of rural Normandy history, before reaching the coastal towns that shaped the course of the Second World War. Your attention will then turn to the immense scale and significance of the events that unfolded in this region.

This unique cruise will deepen your understanding of the sacrifices and challenges faced by Allied troops 75 years ago as you explore the landing sites in the company of one of Britain's finest historians. You will also visit Rouen, described by Victo Hugo asn the "city of a hundred spires" and which bore the brunt of some of the worst fighting and whose famed cathedral was nearly destoryed by Allied Bombs. British Legion guides will be on hand throughout to also provide insights.
